Amanda & Kevin ~ Engagement Signing Book

Happy Canada Day and Independence Day everyone!

I just thought I would post the album spreads from a little Engagement Signing Book that I have been working on. For those of you who don’t really know what these are all about (and why they are so cool), it’s a 8 x 10 photo book that  contains both stunning photos as well as blank areas for guests to sign / write short messages in.

These books are a great way to display engagement / lifestyle photographs!

Sam & Ben – The Wedding – Cave Springs Winery – Niagara On The lake

I have not been blogging much lately as I have been spending much of my time editing and catering to my clients, so I do apologize!

This cute little brunch wedding took place at the picturesque Cave Springs Winery, which is located just outside of the town of Jordan Station, Ontario. Crystal of Distinct Occasions did a stand up job designing the event, which featured a bright blue and yellow pallet – delicious! Speaking of delicious, check out the awesome M&M’s garnishing the cake.

Sam & Ben – Thank you so much for having me out to capture your special day!

Crazy in Cabo – Destination Wedding – Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

I had heard about Cabo Mexico before. My first majestic glimpses of this ocean-front paradise were limited to Google images, but even that was enough to win me over completely. Strikingly beautiful seaside cliffs, long stretches of sandy beach, a dry sunny climate and Cabo Wabo, the infamous bar owned by Sammy Hagar of Van Halen… what more could a photographer ask for! So when Jennifer & Vandy approached me about coming along to photograph their wedding there, I took up the offer without hesitation! The chance to travel to Cabo with this hip, stylish couple and their close-knit family was destined to sweeten the deal in ways I didn’t expect.

One of the best features of a destination wedding is the chance to spend time and share a whole week’s worth of amazing experiences – and images! Some great moments included strolling along the beach with the pounding surf striking the shoreline, a private boat cruise with the entire wedding party, ATVing across the desert, partying in town and of course, Vandy making his first comedic stage appearance.

This wedding was a very special one to not only to Jennifer, Vandy and their guests, but also special to me, as I forged new friendships and shared experiences with a loving group of close-knit family and friends. It really was a once in a lifetime experience for me to be there!

To Jenn, Vandy and everyone who attended – Muchas, muchas gracias! Thank you!

Just For Fun – A Whole Wedding in 2.5 min.

I thought it would be fun to just play around and do something different today, so I exported all the frames (700 of them) from a wedding I had shot this past season to see what they would look like when stitched together in a movie clip.

One thing that I love about flipping through wedding day images like this, is how you can just feel the positive energy radiating from the photos in series!

Please forgive me for the rather basic editing and crude compression – I have never made a video before, but am learning quickly!

Toronto Maternity Photography

I was elated when my good friend and fellow photograper extraordinaire, Varia broke the good news of her pregnancy to me and I was even more overwhelmed when she asked if I would like to do a maternity portrait session in my studio with her.

Having never really shot baby bumps before, I decided that I would use it as an experience to try something new and to do so with as little outside influence as possible. I wanted the photography to be simple, pure and powerful, without taking away from the beautiful nature of the subject. I also wanted it to reflect my own in-studio style, which is seen more on the commercial and portrait side of my business.

To add an extra element of sophistication to the photos, Varia booked the extremely talented Natasha Kudashinka to come into the studio and body paint her belly. It turned out better than I could have imagined. It’s just fantastic when all the elements come together.

If you are looking to do an artistic maternity session, do send me an email or call. It was such an amazing experience and I am looking forward to doing many more!
