Trisha & Paul ~ A Winter Wedding on the Lake

As we finally enter the warmpth of Spring, I know that the last thing you want to see is more snow, but I just have to share this little gem from when things were still frozen.

Trisha and Paul both love the winter and didn’t mind braving the frigid winds of Lake Ontario so that we could capture some stunning imagery of them with the Oakville harbor in the background.

I just love the look of Trisha’s dress and could not help but stylize a few classically inspired shots with simple window light.

Around The World ~ A New Zealand Wedding

As some of you may have noticed, the blog has received little attention over the past few months… so it’s time to blow off the dust!

I was actually out of the country for the past while, in places such as the Cayman Islands, Washington DC, Australia and New Zealand. In the month of April alone, I logged over 50 hours of air time, which is a new personal record!  I will be sharing photos from these adventures over the next little while (you have already seen some of the ones from the Cayman’s) so stay tuned.

While in New Zealand, I was also honored to take part in my best friend Ian’s wedding. I was a groomsman, so I tried extra hard to keep my camera packed away for the evening (they did have a hired photographer), but I just could not help but take a few snaps when I could.

One thing that these photos prove, is that weather should never be a reason for missing out on great shots – as you can see, it’s dark and pouring out!

Ian & Claire – I had an amazing time at your wedding and am looking forward to visiting again sometime soon! Love you guys!

Candace & Chris ~ Cayman Island Wedding ~ Part 1

It’s always a treat when I get to go somewhere new for a wedding and it’s even better when that ‘somewhere’ happens to be a tropical island in the Caribbean!

This past week I had the privlidge of flying down to the beautiful Grand Cayman Island to photograph the wedding of Candace and Chris at the luxurious Caribbean Club Resort. If you ever head to the Caymans, this is THE place to stay at.

Enjoy the photos!

It was a mighty cold day in Toronto when I departed. There was a modest 1 hour delay as they had to plow the runway and de-ice the aircraft.

It was a beautiful sight to see the beach of the Caribbean Club after driving through a snowstorm 4 hours earlier!

We ended up commandeering a pirate ship for an evening cruise on the open sea. Arrrrrr!

This is the first installment of a 3 part series for this beautiful destination wedding. I am just starting to edit it and couldn’t keep these sweet images (of an uber-sweet couple & friends) to myself!
