Sometimes things are just right.

The light falls at precisely the right angle.
The humidity in the air creates an airy softness.
You have an amazing & fun loving couple to work with.
The creativity is spontaneous.

Last nights shoot was made of magic.

I first photographed Lisa & Johan in the middle of the winter last year. They loved their photos sooooo much, that they requested to do another shoot in the summer, so that they could have a variety of imagery to cherish and share.

As you can tell, I am very happy with the photos!

Here are a few more teaser photos from Amanda & Kevin’s rainy day engagement shoot that we did the other week. I really love the mode and tone of these images… It’s funny, but I often get excited when they call for showers in the forecast now!

Trisha & Paul ~ A Winter Wedding on the Lake

As we finally enter the warmpth of Spring, I know that the last thing you want to see is more snow, but I just have to share this little gem from when things were still frozen.

Trisha and Paul both love the winter and didn’t mind braving the frigid winds of Lake Ontario so that we could capture some stunning imagery of them with the Oakville harbor in the background.

I just love the look of Trisha’s dress and could not help but stylize a few classically inspired shots with simple window light.

Allison & Matt ~ Royal York Hotel Wedding

I spent the better part of today reflecting back upon my 2010 wedding season, flipping through my contact sheets and recalling all of the great moments that I had with my wonderful couples throughout the year.

One of the galleries that I stopped upon, was Allison & Matt’s beautiful Royal York Hotel wedding. The weather was perfect, the location incredible and the couple – simply gorgeous!

Andrea & Chris – The Wedding – Kortright Center – Toronto

The Kortright Center is well known to many who grew up in Toronto, as it was a popular destination for elementary school field trips when one was young. It definitely brought back a number of fond memories for me and it was nice to think that a beautiful wedding would now be added to them.

A winding trail through the forest, which led to a clearing in the woods, was the perfect setting for Andrea and Chris’ nature inspired ceremony. It was a very intimate celebration and was a nice change of pace from some of the larger weddings that I have been covering lately. It brought a lot of warmpth and energy to the event and made for a very relaxed day.

Thank you so much for having me at your wedding!

Sarah & Russ – The Wedding – Horseshoe Valley Resort

Fresh air, the scent of pine and a scenic vista set the scene for Sarah and Russel’s wedding at Horseshoe Resort, which is just outside of Barrie, Ontatio.

Some may recognize Sarah and Russel as the “Rockin’ Couple” from a Lifestyle / Engagement shoot that I did last year, which came complete with guitars and amps. Oh yes. Needless to say I have come to like this couple a lot and was excited to finally be photographing their wedding!

We found some fantastic locations for the ‘not so formal’ photos, including a vibrant canola field which made for a fantastic backdrop for Sarah in her beautiful dress!

I also have to thank Ryan Rowell, of Rowell Photography, for being an awesome second photographer and for putting up with the ridiclous amount of gear that I made him carry. I swear, I am learning to pack lighter!
