All Tapped Out – Shooting Faucets for Studio Bathe
Studio Bathe approached me about photographing a few new lines of decorative faucets that they had received. It must be said that product photography always presents it’s challenges and highly reflective objects such as these chrome faucets top the list of “tuff stuff” to capture. It takes substantial prep time and a fair amount of trial-and-error to get things looking just right for print. Having the proper equipment for the job as well as knowing how to read light and shadow detail were both key in producing these quality images for the client.

All of these images were captured with the mindset that they should be as clean as possible straight out of camera in order to reduce the cost of post production in cleaning them up later. There was still a fair amount that had to be done (knocking out backgrounds and providing transparent files), but it was much easier working with properly captured images.
Product Photography – Bottles and Boxes
These are examples from over 50 products that I photographed for a client requiring clean imagery for placement into a catalog. It was extremely important that all the images were as print ready as possible, straight out of camera in order to limit the amount of post production required, thus saving time and money for the client. These images are pretty much straight out of the camera (reflections and all).
